I always buy these flashcards for different subjects and swear I will use them this semester and half the time I never get around to it. In this case, I did try to use them but my professor was so particular in what he taught that I had to toss over three quarters of the cards. The ones that were relevant for my class were useful. The cards are pretty wordy and may have multiple cards for one answer. The very long answers I think would be better suited for a book or outline instead of a flashcard just because flashcards are best used for short answers or black letter law answers. Admin law is primarily based on very long case opinions where another class (like PR) is based on rules that need to be memorized and then analyzed. I'll still probably buy other subjects because they are better for some classes than others.
Comprehensive and a great prep for a law school exam. I also had the opportunity to take Administrative Law with Professor Stevenson and it was a fantastic experience. He is able to condense these cases down to simple ideas, and brings out the political background surrounding these cases. The political background is particularly important in these cases as it provides context which helps explain the decisions. One example is the cluster of decisions immediately after FDR's "New Deal", and the cluster of decisions after his proposal to pack the Court. Stevenson is obviously a fan of the Simpsons and he includes multiple references into his flashcards which adds some humor into a dry subject. Nonetheless, these flash cards will help you remember key concepts and ideas which is really what you need for an exam.
