As much as she wanted him she was afraid she'd have to leave him to keep her past behind her. Meanwhile, the club was having problems as well. It seems the war they just fought wasn't their only enemy. Once again they'd prove no one messed with Satan's Fury.Both found peace as well as steam and excitement together. When her past enters will she let the club and his brothers protect her?Learning the reason for Shadow's silence and nightmares made me want him to find his Alex and the solace she provides. A couple I needed to see make it. There is club excitement as well as steam and a tender side of man no one knew until Alex. The brothers are loyal, strong, and badboys everyone. I'm ready to find out about Riggs and his sharp mind.
Wow... I think I’m in love with Shadow. For one? HE READS!! For two, I love him with Alex, he’s so sweet to her. This book has lots of ups and downs, twists and turns, but don’t worry there’s an awesome HEA in the end. Love me some Satan’s Fury MC and love that Ms. Wilder did such a great job on this one (like all the rest!) :)
Shadow was the second book in the Satan’s Fury - Memphis MC series by L Wilder. It was a spin-off of the original Satan’s Fury MC series.We met Shadow in book one as the silent and troubled MC brother. He spoke very little and it was obvious he had demons he lived with daily. In book two, we learn he was also smart, gorgeous, well read and totally alpha.Alex Carpenter was the smart and beautiful bookstore owner where Shadow frequented. We learned quickly that she had secretly been on the run for eight years.Alex and Shadow didn’t have much contact with each other at first, although they saw each other daily and were very aware of the other. Once they did, there was some push and pull, but not much and I loved watching them quickly develop. Simultaneously, the MC suspenseful plot was unfolding alongside a peek into Alex’s past. Once they connected, the storylines merged and became one big suspenseful and intriguing plot.It was well written, well developed, dark, and a fast read. It had some editing errors, but none too distracting. Otherwise, it was entertaining and I can’t wait to read Riggs next.
Shadow has had a tormented childhood which has run over into adulthood. He witnessed something horrific as a child and just can’t shake it. Now all grown up he is the Enforcer for the Satan’s Fury MC. He believes that he still walks in the shadows but the Alex comes into his life and there is light. Alex has her own set of problems that she is running from but these two just click. When all of Alex’s dark past comes to the light Shadow is right by her side. He doesn’t abandon her when that would be advisable. They are like two tortured souls healing each other. I highly recommend this book!!
Enjoyed the book. Very gritty with a dash of romance. If you like your MC books more hardcore, this is for you. This has a big dose of reality inside! If you are looking for more softer, pansy type MC romance you might want to pass.
Wow just when I think LesLie can top off her last book she ups her game up and nails it with shadows story.I have been waiting for his story and claimed him as mine lol . Shadow has issues and baggage from his past that he still has nightmares over and when he meets Alex she brings the light into his darkness but she also has secrets from her past that could destroy her happiness with shadow . I absolutely loved this book and absolutely feel like I can connect with shadow and just makes me want to love him even more.
Alex runs a bookstore that she inherited by a surrogate mother figure. She has a past that threatens her future. Shadow starts hanging out in the bookstore, just to be around her. They develop a relationship and he is determined to keep her safe. She is terrified that her father will harm Shadow. The motorcycle club is having difficulties and there are many plot twists. Honestly, I am still hung up on the fantasy of owning a book store!
I absolutely loved this book!! I thought it was fantastic! L. Wilder is one of my go to authors whenever there's a new book I'm one clicking it!!!?! This has everything I love in a nook, it's hot, sexy , and lots of action, Shadow is a brooding, take action kind of guy, he's strong, and the enforcer of his club.. Alex or Alejandra has her secret just as Shadow does, and the two together are a perfect match!! This book had me from page one!! Loved it!!
