This book is tiny, like a small paperback. A quarter of the puzzles are sudoku, a quarter crosswords, a quarter word search, and a quarter different (more interesting, in my opinion) word puzzles.

The book is small, 4"x 6" the print is even small. I cannot see the puzzles clearly even with my 1.5 readers. I did not return it because it was less than $4 and will make a great stocking stuffer... for a much younger person!I've included some pictures with some items laying on or near the book for size reference, one photo shows the book open at arm's length...

I bought it for my son who is in prison. It helps to keep his mind on positive things.

Gave it a 3 because the book dimensions are small - approximately 4 x 6 inches - which necessarily means that the print and diagrams are small, which is a bit of a strain for old eyes. If it were "standard" dimensions, would rate a 4. The title is a little misleading in that 240 of the 322 pages are simply sudoku, wordsearch, and crossword, which the small print makes less enjoyable. Only the remaining 82 pages are "mind games;" therefore, it's a stretch to call it the Ultimate Mind Games book.

This puzzle book is fantastic. Since it's the size of a paperback, it's easy to travel with. It's not large print, unlike most puzzle books on amazon. The pages are solid and don't tear easily. There are 100 sudoku puzzles, 100 wordsearches, 100 simple crossword puzzles, and 100 other puzzles. The puzzles appear to increase in difficulty as the pages go on.

I love the wide assortment of puzzles. There is a variety to appeal to everyone in a family, making it a perfect take-along for trips. But...the book is very small, and very thick, so it's a little cumbersome to hold, and annoying to work the puzzles.

I gave this two stars because it got here on time and it IS a puzzle book. However, I think anybody would need reading glasses to use this book, even if you aren't old like me. The description does give dimensions, which did seem small to me. But I wanted a portable book. Unfortunately, the puzzles are printed very small. Sometimes two to a page. Almost impossible to see. Poor use of spacing on the pages. You can see the margins around Forget seeing the answers! They are even smaller than the puzzles. Disappointing product.

This is a terrible puzzle book. The five star reviews are obviously fake. The crossword puzzles are not real crosswords. Only a few letters cross and it's like the author just used a thesaurus to list a bunch of words. The sodoku is way too small. The boxes for the numbers are tiny so you can't write possibles and the puzzles weren't interesting. The mind game section was ok, but a mishmash of word games with no continuity. I'm very sorry I ordered this.

Love this series of hardcover art books Viz is producing! The book provides a ton of concept sketches, and cel art! The book also details information on special effects techniques used for the cels.Only criticism I have is there should be less screenshots from the final version of the film and more unprocessed cel art instead. Otherwise, a perfect buy! I own all 10 books from the Miyazaki series.

Amazing art book, but wish there was more drawings and less pictures from the movie.

Love it, just wish there was more concept art in it, you know, preliminary drafts and roughs... that sort of thing, especially for this production!Oh well, it has a great variety of things, so I really can't complain.

Beautiful!

I got this for my boyfriend's 11 year old son and he loved it. He is a big Miyazaki fan so this was really cool to see all the intricate drawings that went into one of his favorite movies.

Binding was somewhat damaged but the pages themselves are excellent.

As per usual, Miyazaki blows me away yet again.

This is the first book on kindle, that I bought in the store, which is formatted per page (like pdf, but it is not pdf).Font is small, you cannot change font size, 1/4th of vertical space is left blank between text and page number, block of text is like 2/3 of horizontal space of the screen. Also there are clear typesetting issues because words are sometimes glued together without spaces.Everything described above greatly distracts from actual contents. I don't think I would be able to actually read whole book on kindle. Interesting book is unfortunately defeated by poor editing.

I wanted to learn how to make retro pixel art for a programming contest I had entered. I could just not get anything to look anywhere near good given the restrictions of the contest. But I have seen many examples of excellent pixel art with even more stringent restrictions than I had. This book was a great introduction to pixel art. Several concepts that I would have never figured out on my own. The book wont make you an artist, but it can help artists improve in restricted mediums.Grant it, there is probably nothing in this book that can'y be found on the web, but then I can't download the entire web onto my tablet and take it with me. :)

The writing and the organization is a bit too casual, but still a steal at this price. It really breaks down the basics in ways that most other sites/tutorials gloss over. Very useful book if your looking to pixel (or perler) with experience in another medium.

A bit disappointed with this purchase. The product page for this 2015 ebook lists the page count as 686 pages - but in reality it's just 206 pages. Also, there is a notice in the front of the book that the resources needed for the tutorials are located on the author's website and a link is given - but while that website is there, the page/folder for the resources is not.The pages of this book are static like a PDF, not like a regular Kindle book. On my Fire HD 10, the pages are presented only in single page portrait mode. The book is sort of poorly formatted - there are some issues with text overlapping and no breaks between paragraphs.There are nine chapters and three appendices. The bulk of the book is text - so if you're not much of a reader that might be an issue. Overall I would have to say that the author does provide a lot of good basic information and given the price of the book, it's worth adding to your digital library.

Good book on the basics. If you have a bit of experience, this might be slightly too beginner-level for you. It still has some helpful content for intermediate pixel artists, however.

Heavy on the text but informative

This book goes very in depth and has a lot of technical information. It has some great info on what programs to use for pixel art. Just about everything a person needs to know about pixel art.

I was expecting so much more about this, and is really really disappointing. Is really short and have a lack of content.

I have read other interest rate modeling books and this book is definitely the best. Other books tend to cover too many theories without depth and too many kinds of models which do not have much practical values. This book not only has the right amount of practical models but also provides you with understandable derivations and numerical examples which are vitally important for learners and practitioners. As a teaching professor and an active researcher in the forefront, the author clearly understands what is important from students' point of view and which theory is most important. Since the author is also a specialist in numerical analysis, the numerical examples are also better presented than other books.If you are seriously interested in learning interest rate modeling, buy this book.

Apparently the author has put a lot of thoughts into the selection and presentation of the materials, so that it is concise and deep, yet can be followed page by page easily. I have read many other texts and monographs, and consider this as a rare find in financial modeling books. As a practitioner, I find it useful as a well-organized top-down review and in-depth research of the most popular interest rate models. As a former university professor, I know this would be my choice of textbook if I were to teach a course in interest rate models, as students would benefit from the very relevant materials and the clarity and easy flow of logic.

This is an outstanding work of literary criticism. Each chapter is organized around a work of literature beginning with Homer and concluding with Virginia Woolf. The author typically quotes a short passage in its original language, a translation follows, then a close analysis of the language, and then a discussion of the historical milieu that gave rise to the work. The author proceeds slowly and carefully with precise and nuanced readings of the texts and deep insight into the world that gave birth to the text. But the book is not easy. Many of the texts analyzed will be obscure even to educated readers. Historical contexts will often be similarly obscure. Although foreign language texts are translated the translations often do not include material outside of the text.-- so unless you can read most of the European languages, Latin, medieval French, much will be lost. Not surprisingly the most accessible chapters are the first (Homer and the Old Testament) and the last (Virginia Woolf) which are not presented as translations Liberal arts education has changed radically since this book was first published (in German) over sixty years ago. Because there are very few modern readers who will have a similar level of erudition as Auerbach it would be helpful for the book to be reissued with appropriate footnotes.

One of my all-time favorite books--read it first over 50 years ago and had worn out my copy. Thrilled to find on Kindle. Worth it for the discussion of Odysseus' return to Ithaca alone--but the whole book is thought-provoking and illuminating. Dante, Cervantes, and morel Wonderful translation--reads like a dream

Little hard to get anywhere in this-maybe its a little dated, maybe this guy's to smart for me, maybe its other things. I'll stick to Bloom and his kind.

This is a classic. The first chapter on the Iliad is worth the price of the book.

Everyone interested in narrative literature, professional or not, needs to read this book to learn to appreciate the composition of a literary text. One nice thing about it is that I can read any section without worrying too much about what comes before or after. This is a true classic in the sense that I can read its chapters over and over again, and each time come across new observations that add to my enjoyment of the text under discussion.

I wish this book was published in two or three volumes. But I really enjoy reading and rereading this book. I will have to look for an annotated version. The book is too bulky to haul around that is why I would like to see it in volumes. And I'd like to have wider margins to write notes. I have used the way Auerbach has looked at literature and used some of his ideas to look at modern books and drama.

Read it every five or ten years.

I first read this work as an undergraduate over 50 years ago in a European classics lit. course. It was then mostly incomprehensible to me. Now older, and perhaps a little wiser, I nevertheless still found the book to be a tough read. Auerbach's general thesis about the relationship between various literary texts and the representation of reality was now much clearer, but many details remained hidden from me due to my lack of Latin, old French, etc. I also found some of Auerbach's interpretations to be highly speculative. Still, the effort was worthwhile and Said's introductory essay is excellent.

Every law student knows the fear of getting cold called but with this book you can easily reference the case you were supposed to read. This book gives you the ability to answer your teacher's questions while pretending that you might actually be learning something in law school besides what cripplingly debt is. It has saved many friends of mine, whether it be for preparing for class or an upcoming exam.

I got an A in this class and only read through maybe 1/2 of my textbook. I did find some holdings/take away from case not correct. Therefore, I recommend using this book as your professor is going through the textbook and making notes within this book on what the professor actually cares about. The facts are correct and can save you a lot of time in preparing to be cold-called.
